Dear Lucy Beth and Family,
I could not have had a better host dad than Jerry during my foreign exchange year with you in 1984-85. He was the kindest man to a young girl far, far away from home and her own family.
I am greatful to Jerry for a lot of things as well as not forgetting me but keeping contact with me all these years. I will miss him very much.
I am sending you all my love. My prayers are with you.

Dear Hinkle Family,
I have been working all weekend and just viewed your Hinkle blogspot, unfortunately, to find out Jerry had passed. I listen to Air 1 on the internet and the song playing while I was learning about Jerry's passing was a song by Jeremy Camp, "There Will Be A Day". It brought sad and joyful tears to my eyes. It's awesome to know that there will be a day when we will see Jesus face to face.
